Hi, I’m Katy, the baker and owner behind Mothers Mercantile, a one-woman owned cottage bakery based right here in Rolla. My baking journey started in my own kitchen when my daughter was diagnosed with a dairy intolerance. I quickly realized that store-bought allergy-friendly treats were often dry, flavorless, or completely out of reach. I taught myself to bake from scratch so she never had to miss out on the joy of a birthday cake or a sweet after-dinner treat. Now, my mission is to provide those same delicious, worry-free goodies to other families in our community.
