Individuals who have confirmed judicial clerkships with start dates in 2026 are invited to apply for the Judicial Clerkship Training Academy, hosted by Advancing American Freedom’s Edwin Meese III Institute for the Rule of Law.
This program is designed to help prepare attendees for success in their upcoming clerkships. Topics covered include legal writing, originalism, textualism, and practical discussions with prominent judges and former clerks. The program will take place March 18–20, 2026, in Washington, D.C.
Completed applications must be submitted by Friday, January 30. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until all available seats are filled, and applicants are strongly encouraged to apply early. All applicants will be notified of admission decisions no later than Friday, February 6, 2026.

Advancing American Freedom will cover the following expenses for accepted participants:
- Round-trip airfare or train travel to and from the program, up to a maximum of $500 per attendee (participants are responsible for any costs exceeding this amount).
- Hotel accommodation for two nights for attendees who do not live within a reasonable commuting distance of the event (or three nights for attendees traveling from the Mountain Time Zone or farther west).
- All scheduled meals during the Judicial Clerkship Training Academy
