Schedule:

Camp begins Thursday with arrival between 3 and 7 pm. There will be no riding on Thursday as part of camp, however you may hand walk. Friday and Saturday will consist of morning and afternoon lessons, HM and extra activities. Sunday morning we will wrap up with one final lesson. Please plan to arrive on Thursday in time to settle in and join everyone for dinner at 6:30pm, where we will host our first camp meeting, go over logistics and have a chance to meet fellow campers. To support everyone getting on the road, we will have all camp activities completed by 1pm Sunday and provide bagged lunches. Please do not request special Sunday accommodations.

Lessons:

Mounted Campers will have 2 group lessons each day both Friday and Saturday and one on Sunday. You will have the opportunity to select your discipline. There will also be a scheduled horse management lesson each day. Please indicate on your registration form which track you want: dressage, show jumping, eventing or western.

Unmounted Campers will have 1-2 horse management lessons daily and the opportunity to audit other HM lessons as desired. As well, you can audit mounted lessons daily. Please indicate what you would like to focus on while you are at camp.

HM Activities:

In addition to mounted lessons, each day there will be unmounted lessons to fulfill Pony Club’s mission to address horse management in all we do. Our plan is to have lessons covering a number of certification appropriate topics.

Camp Enhancement:

Get excited for our camp enhancement!!. We are going to learn about Trails. This will be an opportunity to learn about trail obstacles on-site.

Early Bird Registration until May 6th @ 9pm

3. Non-participant camper: $40 (We are unable to accommodate a reduced rate for non-participants)

Regular Registration until May 16th @ 9pm

1. Mounted camper - $380

1. Upgrade to a 12x16 pipe panel Stall: + $30 extra fee (for the weekend)
2. Upgrade to a Barn Stall in main barn: + $45 extra fee (for the weekend - 2 bags of shavings included)
3. Shavings: $10 a bag
4. Additional Camp Shirt: $20 past deadline

Horse and Rider Fitness:

Participating in camp is a rigorous 3 days. Horses, ponies and their riders MUST be fit enough to ride for up to 3 hours per day. Bringing a mount to camp that is not fit enough is both a welfare and safety issue. Horses deemed to be showing signs of distress or lack of conditioning during lessons may be excused. If your horse or pony is not able to participate in more than one lesson per day due to fitness or age please indicate this on your registration paperwork.

People Accommodations:

Lone Tree Farm is set in a lovely river valley. The main barn and food prep area are located as you first enter the property on top of a ridge, before you descend down into the valley. There is a river running through the valley floor and camping areas, pipe panel horse stalls, and riding areas running alongside the river. Conditions are typically favorable for swimming in parts of the river so make sure to bring a swimsuit and water/rock friendly shoes! There are several compost outhouses, showers, and sinks for your use at the bottom of the hill. Additionally, we will be bringing in several porta-potties. Please note, the camping areas have a large amount of sizable river rock on the surface. If you are camping in a tent we would strongly recommend the use of a cot or a VERY thick air mattress. You may want to bring chairs and a folding table as well.

Horse Accommodations:

Lone Tree Farm has pipe panel stalls for the horses. The majority of the stalls are 12x12 but there are a limited number of oversized 12x16 stalls. The oversized stalls cost an additional $10/day and will be given out to the first people who request them and submit a complete application including payment. There are a limited number of stalls available in the main barn for an additional $15/day. Additional stall fees will be on the registration form. Please provide your own shavings or request bags for purchase for $10/each. Hay can be purchased on site for $30 a bale, please bring cash.

Non- Participants Attending Camp:

Parents and other family members are welcome and encouraged to stay during Pony Club Camp. Lone Tree Farm has a nominal camping fee for each additional camper. Please complete this form for each additional person. All minors MUST be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Please complete the Regional Camp Application ASAP. We will only have 36 spots available for this exceptional experience and spaces will be filled on a first come, first serve basis. To secure your spot both payment and applications must be received by appropriate deadlines.
