Best Practices for Driving the Bus/Van

  • Allow extra travel time; larger vehicles accelerate and brake more slowly.

  • Drive gently—avoid sharp turns and sudden stops.

  • Watch for clearances: the vehicle is taller, wider, and longer.

  • Park in larger, well-lit areas; avoid backing up when possible.

  • No distractions—assign another adult to assist with directions/passengers.

  • In case of emergency, call 911 first, then notify Catalyst Catholic staff.

  • Treat all vehicles and equipment with care and respect as ministry tools.
