Your application must be completed online and submitted via this form no later than 11:59 pm on Thursday, May 15, 2025. NOTE: No applications will be accepted after the deadline.
Please have the following 4 documents ready to upload before you start the application.
Personal Story. A file (in PDF or Microsoft Word only) that is a 1-page, double-spaced essay (200 - 250 words) that briefly details your background, why post-secondary education is important to you, and how a scholarship would address financial challenges for pursing post-secondary education.
*This is the only upload requirement that does not accept a picture/image.*
Proof of Acceptance. A file (a clear, easily-read picture/image or PDF) that provides evidence that you have been accepted into a post-secondary program, institution, or course of study. Evidence could include an acceptance letter, an enrollment confirmation, or a registration receipt.
Need Assessment. A file (a clear, easily-read picture/image or PDF) that clearly outlines your or your family’s expected out-of-pocket contributions, such as a financial aid award letter, 2025-2026 FAFSA Submission Summary with Student Aid Index (SAI), an invoice, or a quote/estimate.
School Transcript or Resume. A school transcript or resume (a clear, easily-read picture/image or PDF) is required. These documents will help us to get to know you better.
REMINDERS:
To be eligible to apply for the Castle Square Young Adult Resident Scholarship Program, you must be a young adult resident* aged 18-30 living in income-restricted Castle Square apartments who have applied to enroll in post-secondary education, including universities and colleges, community colleges, trade and vocational schools, or online courses.
*Young adult residents must be legal residents in Castle Square Apartments in good standing and be ages 18-30 on or before August 5, 2025.
The exact number of scholarships and the total amount of money to be awarded will be determined during the selection process, at the sole discretion of the CSTO board. Financial need to cover tuition, fees, student housing costs, and other related essentials will be a key consideration when determining individual amounts.
