The Student Wellness Program is a free, confidential, and voluntary mental health screening for your child. By registering, you are giving permission for your student to participate.
How it works: Your student will be called out of class to complete the screening on their Chromebook. The survey takes 10-15 minutes and will be conducted in a confidential group setting with other registered students under the supervision of a mental health professional.
The Assessment: Your student will complete a questionnaire about their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, including symptoms of depression and anxiety, suicidal thinking and behavior, attention-related concerns and disruptive behavior, and use of drugs and alcohol (for middle and high school students only).
Registration: Parents or legal guardians must register students who are 17 years old or younger. Students who are 18 or older must register themselves. Please let your student know they are registered, so they are not surprised when they are called to participate.
Confidentiality: All screening results are kept confidential and are not part of your student's academic record. They will not be shared with teachers or administrators without your permission. The only exception is in the case of an immediate safety risk to your student or others.
