Research Information

This research study aims to explore and examine how crime and forensic-related media influence the motivations, expectations, perceptions, and preparedness of undergraduate forensic science students for real-world forensic work.


Participation is entirely voluntary, and you may withdraw at any point before submitting the survey. All responses will remain fully anonymous and cannot be linked to any specific participant. The data collected will be stored securely in password-protected tools, and accessed solely by the researcher. All data will be used exclusively for academic purposes and will be retained only until the end of the 2025 – 2026 academic year (October 2026), after which it will be permanently deleted.

  • I am an undergraduate student currently enrolled in a forensic or related program and am therefore eligible to participate in this study.
  • I understand that my participation is entirely voluntary and that I may withdraw at any time before submitting the survey. I acknowledge that once the survey is submitted, my responses cannot be withdrawn, as they are anonymous and cannot be linked back to me.
  • I understand how my data will be used, stored, and kept confidential.
