Do you like to decorate with mums in the fall? Do you also want to support your local Cub Scout pack?

C is collecting orders for Maine-grown mums to support Cub Scout Pack 299. They are 16-18" across in 9.5" pots. Mums are $22 each, and can be picked up in Walpole on Sept. 17th.

Money raised goes towards new uniforms and badges, and supports activities throughout the year. We just took the pack to the Gilsum Mine to collect geodes and tried RC racing in Charlestown. Pack funds also sent scouts to VINS in the spring, the McAulliffe-Shepard Discovery Center in the winter, and supports the annual town Easter Egg hunt and the yearly Pinewood Derby, where scouts race wooden cars they build themselves.
